EXACLTY WHAT THEY WANTED

This attractive flat belongs to newlyweds. Jessie works for an insurance company; Andrew is a full time army officer. When they received the key to the HDB flat in jurong, they were naturally happy and exited.
They had a limited budget; however; they were determined to furnish their home well. They wanted a design concept which was sleek and elegant yet comfortable and functional. With their jobs taking up so much of their time, Jessie and Andrew though it best to leave it to an expert to work out details. Theirs need and preferences were made clear and these were carefully taken into account when the decor was planned. In the living room, mirror panels on the walls add luster and dimension. Beige and cream make for a clean, pleasant atmosphere. A carpeted platform defines the sitting area where the focal point is a large wall feature. Its eye catching geometric pattern serves to highlight the contemporary design concept.
A shelf was specially built to create a little entranceway. This gives the living room more privacy. Plants and pretty hanging lamps brighten up the setting. The specious master bedroom is in blue. The couple had an adjoining wall broken down to accommodate a sitting and dressing area. Built-in wardrobes give the room a clean uncluttered look.
The sleeping area is set apart by a carpeted platform. Full length curtains contribute the cozy, soft mood. When the job was completed, Jessie said, “we’re very pleased – it’s exactly what we wanted”.
